The Gujranwala cattle market security plan has been intensified ahead of Eid-ul-Adha as the divisional administration announced strict monitoring measures for cattle markets and hide collection activities. Commissioner Muhammad Ali directed officials to ensure public safety and proper management.
According to the administration, special arrangements have been made at 66 cattle markets and sale points established across the division. Deputy commissioners and police authorities have been instructed to supervise security and operational activities throughout Eid days.
Officials stated that around 680 police personnel have been deployed at cattle markets to maintain law and order. Surveillance systems, crowd control measures, and traffic management plans have also been implemented to avoid congestion and security issues.
The commissioner said authorities would closely monitor the collection and sale of sacrificial animal hides during Eid-ul-Adha. Strict checking mechanisms have been introduced to regulate all related activities across the division.
As part of the arrangements, 715 NOCs have been issued for hide collection while 377 permits were granted for the buying and selling of hides. Authorities said only approved organizations and individuals would be allowed to participate in these activities.
The administration warned that illegal hide collection or unauthorized trading would not be tolerated. Police and district officials have been instructed to take immediate action against violations of government regulations.
Commissioner Muhammad Ali emphasized the importance of coordination among departments during Eid operations. Authorities stated that all measures are aimed at ensuring peaceful celebrations and protecting citizens during the holiday period.
