The mechanical rides ban in Gujranwala has been imposed ahead of Eid-ul-Adha as authorities announced safety measures for public parks across the division. Commissioner Muhammad Ali said the decision was taken to protect citizens during the holidays.
According to officials, the temporary ban will apply to mechanical rides operating in 32 parks across Gujranwala Division. The administration stated that public safety concerns were the primary reason behind the restriction.
Authorities said special monitoring teams would inspect parks and recreational areas during Eid-ul-Adha. District administrations have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the orders.
The commissioner stated that large crowds are expected in public parks during Eid holidays, increasing the risk of accidents on mechanical rides. Officials believe the temporary suspension will help prevent possible incidents.
Police and local administrations have also been instructed to maintain surveillance around parks and crowded recreational places. Emergency response teams will remain available in case of any public safety issue.
Officials further confirmed that all departments would continue coordination throughout Eid-ul-Adha to ensure smooth management of public spaces. Citizens have been urged to cooperate with authorities during the holidays.
Commissioner Muhammad Ali emphasized that the administration’s priority is the protection of lives and public convenience. He warned that violations of official orders would lead to strict legal action against responsible individuals.
