Renowned Pakistani actress Aina Asif has revealed the challenges junior actors face on TV and film sets, citing harsh behavior from senior colleagues.
Speaking on a private TV program, she said senior actors often criticize newcomers over minor mistakes, unnecessarily pointing out flaws. “Even small comments are blown out of proportion, making junior actors feel self-conscious,” she explained.
Aina added, “Sometimes if we speak up, they look at us as if we’ve said something completely foolish. But we know it isn’t a major issue.” She described this as a deliberate tactic to make new actors uncomfortable.

The actress also shared how such behavior can disrupt important scenes. “Even during crucial moments, seniors might start side conversations or act in ways that break my focus,” she said, highlighting the pressure on newcomers to stay composed.
Reflecting on her personal response, Aina said, “I used to get very angry initially, but now I’ve learned to let it go. No matter how much you try to stop it, set dynamics rarely change.” She emphasized that despite these challenges, junior actors must remain professional and confident.
