Islamabad: In response to soaring global oil prices and rising tensions in the Middle East, the Government of Pakistan has announced a major relief initiative titled “Motorcycle Petrol Subsidy Relief Package 2026.”
With petrol prices crossing Rs. 458 per liter and diesel exceeding Rs. 520, the new scheme aims to provide financial relief to low- and middle-income citizens, especially motorcycle users.
Under this package, eligible individuals will receive a subsidy of up to Rs. 100 per liter on petrol. Each registered motorcyclist will be able to purchase 20 to 30 liters of subsidized fuel per month, resulting in direct monthly savings between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 5,000.
📌 Eligibility Criteria:
- Monthly income must be below Rs. 50,000–60,000
- Motorcycle must be registered in the applicant’s name
- CNIC and mobile SIM must be registered under the same name
📲 How to Apply:
The government has introduced a digital registration system. Applicants can send their CNIC number and motorcycle details via SMS to 9771 to receive a verification code.
Additionally, a dedicated Fuel Subsidy App 2026 will soon be launched. Through this app, users will be able to avail discounted petrol via a QR code system at over 12,000 registered petrol pumps nationwide.
