Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to ensure timely complaint redressal and transparent investigations across all departments. The FIA investigation reforms were emphasized during his visit to Karachi.
During the visit, Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the performance of the FIA Karachi Zone along with FIA Director General Dr Usman Anwar. Officials briefed them on ongoing cases, inquiries, and complaint handling procedures.
The focus of the FIA investigation reforms was to strengthen public grievance systems and ensure that complaints are resolved on a priority basis without unnecessary delays or procedural gaps.
Senior FIA officials also highlighted internal improvements, including reforms in promotion systems and enhanced welfare measures for staff. Medical facilities and professional development of officers were also discussed.
Mohsin Naqvi stressed that transparency and merit must remain central to all investigative processes. He reiterated that FIA investigation reforms aim to improve institutional credibility and efficiency.
The interior minister has previously announced plans to modernize the FIA into a more dynamic and effective institution by the end of the year, with strict action against corruption.
