Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense has reported that the country faced multiple missile and drone attacks over the past 24 hours, allegedly launched from Iran. According to officials, a total of four missiles and 42 drones targeted critical infrastructure, including petroleum facilities and power plants.
The reported attacks highlight growing tensions in the region, raising concerns over the safety of key energy installations. Kuwaiti authorities have not yet disclosed the extent of damage but emphasized that security forces are on high alert.
Meanwhile, Qatar also confirmed that it faced similar threats on Wednesday. Officials stated that seven ballistic missiles and several drones were launched toward the country; however, all were successfully intercepted, preventing any major damage or casualties.
In a related diplomatic development, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Both leaders expressed concern over ceasefire violations and discussed the worsening situation in Lebanon.
During the call, both sides stressed the importance of fully adhering to the ceasefire to ensure long-term stability and peace in the region. The Kuwaiti foreign minister welcomed the initial ceasefire efforts and appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting peace.
