Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq, launched against terrorists in Afghanistan on the night of February 26–27, 2026, has resulted in a significant decline in terrorism incidents in Pakistan. Authorities and security analysts confirm that the operation has had a visible impact across the country.
According to a report published by the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) via Arab News, terrorism incidents in Pakistan dropped by 59% in March compared to February. The report highlights the effectiveness of the coordinated cross-border operation.
The report also states that overall terrorism incidents in the first three months of 2026 decreased by 18% compared to the previous quarter, showing sustained improvements in national security.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed a 57% reduction in terrorism incidents compared to the previous quarter. Other major cities across Pakistan also saw significant decreases, reflecting the operation’s success in disrupting militant networks.
Security analysts say that the deaths of terrorists during the operation demonstrate that the measures are coordinated, effective, and lethal, directly contributing to the decline in attacks on civilians.
Despite these successes, the report notes that terrorists attempted attacks on unarmed civilians in regions such as Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, underlining the continued need for vigilance and counterterrorism efforts.
Officials maintain that Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq will continue to be monitored and strengthened as required, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety of its citizens nationwide.
