The government of Pakistan has announced that it will observe a Day of Thanksgiving on Friday to commemorate the successful ceasefire between the United States and Iran, facilitated by Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts.
In a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, ministers were briefed on Pakistan’s role in mediating the US-Iran truce. The government highlighted the strategic importance of Pakistan’s intervention in preventing further regional escalation.
