The Pakistan Navy rescue operation in the Arabian Sea successfully saved 18 crew members, including foreign nationals, after a merchant vessel issued a distress call in open waters off Pakistan’s coast.
According to an official statement, the Pakistan Navy rescue operation was launched after MV Gold Autumn reported an emergency while operating around 200 nautical miles in the North Arabian Sea.
The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency activated its Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, which immediately coordinated response efforts as part of the ongoing Pakistan Navy rescue operation in the region.

Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Hunain, which was already patrolling nearby waters, was swiftly deployed to assist the distressed vessel and take control of the situation under the Pakistan Navy rescue operation.
Naval specialists on board provided medical assistance, supported firefighting efforts, assessed vessel damage, and safely evacuated all 18 crew members during the Pakistan Navy rescue operation.
The rescued individuals included nationals from China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia. After evacuation, they were transported to Karachi for medical care and further repatriation procedures.
Officials praised the mission as a demonstration of professionalism and commitment, stating that the Pakistan Navy rescue operation highlights Pakistan’s role as a rapid responder in maritime humanitarian crises.
