Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the 15-member squad for the Asian Games 2026, with experienced batter Sahibzada Farhan appointed as captain of the Pakistan T20 side. Abdul Samad has been named vice-captain for the tournament.
The cricket competition at the Asian Games 2026 will take place in Aichi, Japan. The men’s T20 International matches are scheduled to begin on September 24, while the medal matches will be played on October 3. Pakistan will aim to make a strong impact in the event with a balanced squad featuring both experienced and emerging players.
At 30 years of age, Sahibzada Farhan brings valuable experience to the leadership role. He has represented Pakistan in 46 T20 International matches and scored 1,305 runs. His record includes two centuries and ten half-centuries, making him one of the most accomplished players in the squad.

The PCB has also rewarded several promising young talents with opportunities at the international level. Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Moaz Sadaqat, and Saad Masood are all in line to make their T20 International debuts for Pakistan during the tournament.
As part of the preparations, 14 members of the Asian Games squad will participate in a white-ball training camp scheduled to begin in Lahore on June 15. The camp is expected to help the team finalize combinations and strengthen its preparations ahead of the competition.
The Pakistan squad includes Sahibzada Farhan (captain), Abdul Samad (vice-captain), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Arafat Minhas, Haider Ali, and Hasan Nawaz. Other squad members are Moaz Sadaqat, Muhammad Salman Mirza, Saad Masood, Saim Ayub, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Usman Khan.
