Gold Price in Pakistan Rises by Rs300 Per Tola

The gold price in Pakistan increased by Rs300 per tola on Saturday, following a slight rise in international bullion markets. According to the latest rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), one tola of gold was priced at Rs427,736.

The price of 10 grams of gold also recorded an increase. It climbed by Rs257 to settle at Rs366,714, reflecting the positive trend in the global precious metals market. Local jewellers linked the increase to movements in international gold prices.

In the international market, gold gained $3 per ounce, reaching $4,053, including a premium of $20. The modest rise in global prices contributed to the upward movement in the gold price in Pakistan, as domestic rates generally follow international market trends.

The latest increase comes a day after a sharp decline in local gold prices. On Friday, the price of one tola had dropped by Rs4,600, closing at Rs427,436 before recovering in Saturday’s trading session.

While gold prices moved higher, silver followed the opposite trend. The price of silver declined by Rs12 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs6,297. The mixed movement reflects changing conditions in international commodity markets.

Market analysts say gold prices continue to fluctuate due to global economic developments, investor sentiment, and changes in international demand. Currency movements and geopolitical uncertainty also remain key factors influencing precious metal prices.

The gold price in Pakistan is expected to remain sensitive to global market trends in the coming days. Traders and investors will continue to monitor international bullion prices for further direction as the precious metals market experiences regular fluctuations.
