KP New School Timings 2026 Announced

KP new school timings have been officially announced by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, introducing a revised daily schedule for public schools across the province. The decision aims to improve discipline, learning outcomes, and student engagement in classrooms.

According to the official notification, primary schools will now open at 7:30 am and close at 1:35 pm. Authorities believe that the KP new school timings will help create a more structured academic environment while ensuring efficient use of school hours.

A key feature of the new policy is the focus on character-building activities during morning assemblies. Schools are now required to include moral education, speeches on different topics, and practical student activities as part of daily routines.

Provincial Education Minister Arshad Ayub Khan has directed schools to deliver moral lessons through speeches three days a week. On the remaining three days, students will participate in training through short dramatic performances to enhance creativity and confidence.

In addition to academic improvements, the KP new school timings policy introduces “Bazm-e-Adab” sessions. These literary gatherings will be held on the last working day of each week to promote cultural awareness, reading habits, and expression among students.

The notification also outlines administrative adjustments. After the weekly literary session, the last three periods will be reserved for staff meetings and completion of official records, ensuring better school management and coordination.

Authorities have emphasized strict implementation of the KP new school timings across all districts. Education officers have been instructed to monitor compliance, while school heads and subject specialists will cover classes in case of teacher shortages or extended leave.
