The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected media reports claiming modifications to the residency status of Iranian nationals in the country, describing the reports as inaccurate.
Some outlets had suggested that visas of Iranian residents were being revoked in response to alleged Iranian attacks targeting UAE interests. The ministry clarified that these claims are entirely false and lack any factual basis.
In an official statement, the ministry reaffirmed that the Iranian community continues to be a respected and valued part of UAE society. It emphasized that all residents are treated according to the country’s legal and institutional frameworks, ensuring safety and well-being without exception.
The statement highlighted that Iran is one of more than 200 countries whose citizens live in the UAE, contributing to its multicultural and open society. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the country’s inclusive environment for all residents.
This clarification comes amid rising regional tensions, with the UAE reportedly being among the locations where Iran has targeted US-related interests, intensifying speculation in media circles. Authorities stressed that residents should rely on official channels for accurate information regarding visa and residency matters.
