Pakistan Enhances Airport Security Under Joint Strategy

Pakistan airport security upgrade has become a key priority as the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Defence agreed on a joint strategy to modernize airport operations and improve passenger facilities across the country.

A high-level meeting was chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where officials reviewed security arrangements and discussed measures to enhance efficiency at airports. The focus remained on balancing strong security with smoother passenger flow.

The meeting, held in Islamabad, was attended by senior officials from both ministries, including representatives from security and intelligence agencies. Key decisions were made to improve coordination among all departments involved.

Under the Pakistan airport security upgrade plan, authorities decided to introduce modern scanning systems and advanced screening machines. The goal is to ensure faster checks while maintaining strict security standards for passengers.

Officials also agreed to establish joint counters where multiple agencies will carry out coordinated screening at a single point. This system is expected to reduce waiting times and improve overall airport efficiency.

The introduction of e-gates was also reviewed during the meeting. These automated systems will allow passengers to complete immigration clearance more quickly, significantly reducing congestion at major airports.

Authorities further confirmed that advanced bird-hit prevention equipment is being imported to reduce risks to aircraft. The Pakistan airport security upgrade initiative aims to create safer, faster, and more modern travel experiences for passengers nationwide.
