PMDC admissions 2025-26

PMDC Closes Admissions for 2025–26 Academic Session

PMDC admissions 2025-26 have officially been closed, as the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council announced strict enforcement of admission deadlines for medical and dental colleges across the country.

The decision was issued by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, which confirmed that students admitted after April 15 for the 2025–2026 academic session will not be registered under its system.

According to the notification, all recognized medical and dental institutions have been directed to stop granting admissions beyond the specified deadline. Any violation of this rule will be considered a breach of the PMDC Act, 2022.

The council warned that students admitted after the cutoff date will not receive official registration numbers, effectively making their admissions invalid. This step aims to ensure transparency and uniform standards in medical education.

PMDC admissions 2025-26 rules apply to all universities and colleges across Pakistan, and the directive has been issued with approval from the competent authority. Institutions are required to strictly follow these instructions.

Earlier, PMDC had also allowed limited relaxation in MDCAT passing criteria to help fill vacant seats. However, this adjustment was strictly intended to maintain merit while addressing empty admissions slots.

Medical associations have expressed concern over admission policies in recent months, but PMDC maintains that its regulations are designed to uphold quality, accountability, and fairness in medical and dental education.
