Disha Patani Kevin Spacey collaboration has drawn attention ahead of the release of Holiguards Saga – The Portal of Force, with the Indian actor sharing details about her experience of working alongside and being directed by Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey. She described the experience as both inspiring and educational while discussing her upcoming Hollywood debut.
Speaking about the film, Disha said Spacey creates an environment where actors are encouraged to explore their characters naturally. According to her, he allows performers the freedom to experiment instead of limiting them to a fixed interpretation of the script. She added that his understanding of acting helped the cast deliver more authentic performances.
The actor explained that Spacey regularly asked cast members to rely on their own emotions and personal experiences while preparing scenes. Rather than focusing only on written dialogue, he encouraged them to think about how they would genuinely react in similar situations, helping them build realistic and emotionally grounded characters.
Disha also recalled that every morning the director would sit with the actors and discuss each scene before filming. She said those conversations helped everyone better understand their roles and made the creative process more collaborative. According to Disha, this level of preparation was unlike any experience she had during her previous projects.
Discussing her entry into Hollywood, Disha said talent alone is not enough to secure international opportunities. She explained that auditions, professional representation, accessibility, visa requirements and timing all play significant roles in determining whether an actor can enter the global entertainment industry.
She added that aspiring actors should spend time in the country where they hope to work because physical presence creates more opportunities for meetings, auditions and networking. While online auditions are possible, she believes building a career internationally requires long-term commitment and consistent availability.
Following her appearance in Welcome to the Jungle, Disha will next star in Awarapan 2 alongside Emraan Hashmi before making her Hollywood debut in Holiguards Saga – The Portal of Force with Kevin Spacey, Dolph Lundgren and Tyrese Gibson.
