Gold Price Falls Rs2,500 Per Tola in Pakistan

The gold price in Pakistan declined by Rs2,500 per tola on Saturday, October 24, following a drop in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price reached Rs422,036 per tola. The latest decline followed another significant decrease in local gold rates a day earlier.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs2,144 to reach Rs361,827. The association shared the latest rates as local prices continued to respond to movements in the global bullion market. Gold remains an important investment and jewellery asset for consumers across Pakistan.

The latest decline came after gold prices also dropped sharply on Friday. On October 23, the price per tola settled at Rs424,536 after falling by Rs7,000 during the day. The consecutive declines have brought the local gold price below its previous level, reflecting the ongoing movement in international bullion rates.

In the international market, gold prices fell by $25 to reach $3,995 per ounce. The decline in global prices contributed to the reduction in domestic rates. International gold prices are an important factor in determining local market rates, alongside currency movements and other market-related considerations.

Silver prices also recorded a decrease in Pakistan on Saturday. The price of silver fell by Rs7 per tola to reach Rs5,858, according to the reported market rates. The decline followed the broader downward movement in precious metal prices during the trading period.

Gold and silver rates are closely watched by jewellery buyers, investors and traders in Pakistan. Changes in these prices can influence purchasing decisions, particularly for people planning weddings or buying jewellery for personal use. Investors also monitor international bullion prices to assess market movements and potential changes in local rates.

The latest figures show that gold and silver prices both moved lower on October 24. Gold fell to Rs422,036 per tola, while silver reached Rs5,858 per tola. However, precious metal prices can change with international market conditions, currency fluctuations and local demand. Buyers should confirm the latest rates with authorised jewellers before making purchases.
