Mir Raza Case Inquiry Report Prepared by Judicial Commission

The Mir Raza case inquiry report has been prepared by the judicial commission investigating the death of a young businessman in Karachi. According to commission sources, the report will be handed over to the Sindh government at 10am on Thursday.

Sources said the Sindh home secretary has been summoned to receive the report. The inquiry findings will be formally delivered to the official, marking the next step in the investigation into Mir Raza’s death. The commission’s conclusions have not yet been made public.

The judicial commission completed its proceedings on October 7 after examining the case. It held a total of 15 meetings, including a visit to the crime scene. The commission was established through an official notification issued on August 24 and began its work on August 27.

The Sindh Home Department had directed the commission to complete its proceedings within one month. During the inquiry, the commission examined different aspects of the case as part of efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the young businessman’s death. Further details are expected after the report is submitted to the provincial government.

Mir Raza Ali Khan went missing from Karachi’s Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PECHS) on July 28. According to the available account, he left home in an online taxi at 4:09am. His body was found two days later in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi.

Police officials said the body was found in a severely damaged condition and had a gunshot wound to the chest. The report also noted that all his social media accounts had been closed one day before his body was discovered. These details formed part of the reported circumstances surrounding the case.

Mir Raza’s father said his son’s nikah was scheduled for August 30 at Bait-ul-Mukarram Mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. He said Mir Raza had been happy about beginning a new chapter in his life. The family has faced the loss as questions surrounding the young businessman’s death prompted an official inquiry.

The Mir Raza case inquiry report is expected to provide the commission’s findings to the Sindh government. However, the report’s contents and any recommendations have not been disclosed so far. The submission to the home secretary will be an important development in the investigation, while further action will depend on the findings and the provincial government’s response.
