According to the PMD, a monsoon low was positioned over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast. The system is expected to move westward, potentially influencing weather conditions across parts of Sindh over the coming days.
Under the influence of the weather system, dust-thunderstorm rain with moderate to isolated heavy falls is expected in several districts. These areas include Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal and Tando Muhammad Khan from the evening of September 13 through September 16.
The Karachi rain forecast also covers the period from September 14 to 16. The city is expected to experience thunderstorms and light rain during these days, although the showers may occur with breaks rather than continuously throughout the period.
The PMD also forecast light to moderate dust-thunderstorm rain in Sanghar, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Shaheed Benazirabad and Jamshoro. These areas are expected to receive rainfall from September 14 to 16, with occasional gaps.
For Karachi, the Met Office forecast a minimum temperature of 25°C and a maximum temperature of 27°C in its three-day outlook from Friday to Sunday. The forecast comes as the developing weather system continues to influence conditions in the region.
