YouTube Testing New Home and Subscription Feed UI in Mobile App

YouTube is testing a new user interface for the Home and Subscription feeds in its mobile app. The company says the update is designed to make content discovery easier and faster for users.

The new interface is currently being tested with a limited number of Android and iOS users worldwide. Based on the results of the experiment, YouTube may decide to roll out the feature to all users in the future.

As part of the redesign, YouTube is changing the current position of the Subscription feed. Instead of appearing in the navigation bar, it will now move to the top of the screen to support a new swipeable experience between Home and Subscription feeds.

According to the company, this change will allow users to access videos and personalized content more quickly while improving overall navigation inside the app.

YouTube also revealed that additional feeds such as Movies & TV could be repositioned in future tests. The goal is to create a more centralized and user-friendly content browsing experience.

The updated layout will also modify how the Explore menu appears. Users may see the Explore section after refreshing the screen or scrolling upward, making navigation smoother and more interactive.

Technology experts believe the redesign reflects YouTube’s ongoing efforts to modernize its platform and improve user engagement. If the testing phase proves successful, the updated interface could soon become available to users worldwide.
