Why Did Trump Delay the Iran Strike? Israeli Journalist Makes Major Claim

Washington: Israeli journalist Barak Ravid has made a major claim regarding the possible reason behind U.S. President Donald Trump delaying a planned military strike on Iran. According to the report, Gulf countries warned the United States that they would bear the consequences of any escalation in the region.

Speaking to an American media outlet, Barak Ravid cited U.S. sources as saying that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates jointly conveyed concerns to President Trump over a possible attack on Iran.

Media reports stated that President Trump held discussions with Gulf leaders during the past 24 hours. Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh reportedly urged the U.S. administration to allow diplomatic negotiations with Iran more time instead of moving toward military action.

According to the Israeli journalist, the three Gulf states warned that if Iran were attacked, retaliatory strikes could target oil and energy facilities across the region. Such attacks, they argued, could severely impact regional stability and global energy markets.

Barak Ravid further claimed that President Trump briefed his pro-strike allies about the situation and acknowledged the concerns raised by Gulf nations. Trump reportedly said that regional allies do not want their energy infrastructure destroyed in response to military escalation with Iran.

It is worth noting that on Monday night, President Donald Trump announced the postponement of the planned strike on Iran following requests from Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Mohammed bin Salman, and Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
