PPP Confirms Partial Attendance in Budget Session, Bilawal Absent

The PPP budget session has drawn attention after Pakistan Peoples Party clarified its position regarding participation in the federal budget proceedings. The party confirmed that while it will not boycott the session, its top leadership will not be fully present in the proceedings.

According to the PPP media cell, some members of the party will attend the PPP budget session, but party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not participate in the budget meeting. The clarification comes amid speculation about a possible boycott.

The party emphasized that there is no decision to stay away from the PPP budget session. Instead, it will remain part of the parliamentary process in line with what it described as national interest and democratic responsibility.

PPP Central Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan also rejected reports suggesting a boycott. He stated that such claims were incorrect and misleading, reaffirming that the party continues to engage in the budget process.

Meanwhile, political activity intensified during the PPP budget session discussions when Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s chamber in the National Assembly.

He was accompanied by Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, highlighting ongoing political consultations between coalition partners ahead of budget deliberations.

The PPP’s partial participation in the PPP budget session is being viewed as a strategic parliamentary approach, balancing political positioning with continued involvement in key legislative processes.
