Pakistan’s security forces have successfully eliminated 48 militants during a series of counterterrorism operations conducted over the last 72 hours in North Waziristan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations were carried out in multiple areas, including Miranshah and its surrounding regions, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance national security.
The latest North Waziristan operation resulted in the deaths of 21 militants during targeted engagements. Security officials stated that several high-profile militant figures were among those killed. The individuals identified included Khalid, Muftoon, Musa, and Imran, who were reportedly involved in planning and facilitating terrorist activities in the region.
According to ISPR, the total number of militants neutralized in various operations over the three-day period has reached 48. Among them were four senior commanders believed to have played key roles in coordinating attacks against security personnel and civilians.
Security forces also recovered a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, and other military equipment from the militants during the operations. Officials believe the seized material could have been used in future attacks aimed at destabilizing the area.
Military authorities emphasized that the deceased militant leaders were allegedly involved in multiple acts of violence, including attacks on security forces and the killing of innocent civilians. Their elimination is being viewed as a major achievement in ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
The ISPR reaffirmed that intelligence-based operations will continue wherever threats are identified. Security agencies remain committed to dismantling militant networks and preventing terrorist elements from regrouping in the region.
Pakistan’s armed forces stated that clearance and sanitization operations are progressing at full pace to ensure long-term peace and stability. The military reiterated its resolve to eliminate all threats posed by militant organizations and maintain security across the country.
