Security forces kill four militants in Balochistan operation

QUETTA: Security forces conducted an operation in Balochistan’s Mastung district, killing four suspected militants during an intelligence-based action, according to security sources.

The operation was carried out in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung, where security personnel targeted militants allegedly linked by the sources to Fitna al-Hindustan. Officials said the action was launched after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of armed suspects in the area.

According to security sources, four suspected militants were killed during the operation. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from the site following the exchange of fire.

Security personnel additionally seized several motorcycles that were allegedly being used by the suspects for movement in the area.

Sources further claimed that several other suspected militants were injured during the operation, although no independent confirmation of those claims was immediately available.

Authorities also detained a number of individuals on suspicion of facilitating militant activities. Officials said the detainees would be questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.

Following the operation, security forces launched search and clearance operations across the surrounding area to ensure that no armed suspects remained in nearby locations. The operation was continuing at the time of the latest reports.
