Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described the recent Iran ceasefire as a tribute to the nation’s late leader Ayatollah Khamenei, calling it the result of his sacrifice and the steadfast support of the Iranian people.
In a statement posted on X, President Pezeshkian emphasized that the ceasefire aligns with the general principles sought by Iran. He said that the agreement reflects both strategic wisdom and the collective determination of the nation.
“The ceasefire is the fruit of the blood of our great martyred leader Khamenei,” Pezeshkian stated. He highlighted that the Iranian people’s active participation played a crucial role in achieving this diplomatic milestone.
The president stressed that from today onward, Iran would remain united in both diplomacy and defense. This unity is expected to strengthen the country’s negotiating position in ongoing international discussions.
Following the ceasefire announcement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Pezeshkian held direct communication to coordinate upcoming negotiations. These talks aim to ensure long-term peace and stability in the region.
President Pezeshkian confirmed the arrival of an Iranian delegation to Islamabad, signaling Iran’s commitment to the scheduled diplomatic talks. The delegation will engage with Pakistani authorities and representatives of the United States to advance peace efforts.
Analysts believe that this Iran ceasefire, backed by public support and national unity, could significantly reduce regional tensions. The Islamabad talks are expected to build on this momentum, paving the way for a more stable and cooperative environment in the Middle East.
