JD Vance Arrives in Islamabad with High-Level Delegation for Iran Ceasefire Talks

US Vice President JD Vance has arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan, leading a high-level delegation for crucial Iran-related ceasefire negotiations. The delegation includes senior US officials, including former presidential adviser Jared Kushner and US envoy Steve Witkoff.

The visit is being seen as a significant diplomatic development amid ongoing international efforts to reduce tensions between Iran and other regional stakeholders.

According to sources, the US delegation’s arrival in Islamabad highlights Pakistan’s emerging role as a key diplomatic venue for sensitive regional peace discussions.

The aircraft carrying the US Vice President followed an unusually long and carefully planned route before landing in Pakistan. After departing from Maryland, the plane made a brief stopover in Paris.

Reports suggest that the aircraft avoided several sensitive Middle Eastern airspaces and instead traveled through Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan before entering Pakistan.

The US Vice President’s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace near Chitral around 10:00 AM, where it was provided with full protocol and air security coordination.

The special aircraft finally landed at Nur Khan Air Base at 10:33 AM, where tight security arrangements and diplomatic protocols were in place for the high-profile visit.
