Manab School Attack: Parents of Victims Write letter to Pope Leo, Demand US Apology

Parents of schoolchildren killed in a US attack in Iran’s city of Manab have written a letter to Pope Leo, urging global attention and justice for the victims.

In the letter, the parents thanked Pope Leo for being a voice for their martyred children and amplifying their message to the world. They expressed hope that his call to “lay down arms” would be heard globally.

The grieving families also criticized the White House for not issuing any apology or clarification regarding the Manab school attack, calling the silence deeply concerning.

It is worth noting that on February 28, a joint US-Israel strike reportedly targeted a school in Manab, resulting in the deaths of over 160 people, including young girls. The incident sparked widespread international concern.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a statement on National Girls’ Day, paid tribute to the daughters of the nation and expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in the Manab school tragedy.

He stated that these young victims were killed on the first day of an imposed war during Ramadan and assured that their sacrifice would not go in vain.

Analysts believe this incident has become a major test for global human rights accountability and international response to civilian casualties in conflict zones.
