Iran US conflict

Iran responds strongly to US attack, announces retaliation

Iran’s Joint Military Command has strongly condemned the US attack on an Iranian commercial vessel, calling it a clear violation of a ceasefire agreement and warning of imminent retaliation.

According to an official statement, the targeted vessel was a commercial ship traveling from China to Iran. Iranian authorities described the US action as illegal and labeled it as “maritime piracy.”

The statement emphasized that Iran will respond decisively to this act, asserting its right to defend national sovereignty and secure its maritime routes.

Iran also claimed that following the US attack, its forces carried out drone strikes on several US naval vessels. However, no further operational details were disclosed.

The situation escalated further after the United States announced that it had seized an Iranian vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. US Central Command confirmed that the ship is now under American control.

Earlier, former US President Donald Trump stated that the vessel was violating a blockade, prompting US forces to intercept and seize it.

Analysts warn that rising tensions between the US and Iran could disrupt global trade routes and energy supplies, particularly in the strategically critical Middle East region.
