Reports from Reuters indicated that the US Central Command had earlier justified the seizure. It stated that the ship’s crew did not respond to repeated warnings over a period of six hours and was allegedly in violation of a US-imposed blockade.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed appreciation for the role played by both Washington and Tehran. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.
