Mohsin Naqvi Vows to Protect Pakistan’s Peace and Stability

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the government will not allow anyone to undermine Pakistan’s peace, law and order, or national stability. He emphasized that maintaining public order remains a key responsibility of the state.

Speaking during a visit to the Federal Constabulary Training Centre in Shabqadar, Naqvi said the Anti-Riot Force had been trained according to modern requirements and was fully prepared to deal with law-and-order challenges. He expressed confidence in the force’s ability to respond effectively when required.

The interior minister said peaceful protest is a fundamental right of every citizen, but the law has already established procedures for holding demonstrations. He maintained that there should be no objection to peaceful protests as long as they remain within the boundaries of the law.

Naqvi warned that those who take the law into their own hands would be dealt with according to the law. He reiterated that the state would fulfill its responsibility to maintain peace and public order and would take appropriate action against elements involved in disrupting stability.

He further highlighted the importance of the Federal Constabulary amid the country’s current law-and-order situation. Addressing personnel at the training centre, Naqvi urged them to remain prepared for different types of challenges and to strengthen their ability to respond to difficult situations.

During the visit, the interior minister directed authorities to provide gas masks to all personnel. The measure is intended to improve the preparedness and protection of security personnel while dealing with challenging law-and-order situations.

Naqvi also announced plans to improve sports facilities at the FC headquarters. He said better sporting facilities would be provided for personnel and announced that an international-standard swimming pool would also be constructed as part of efforts to improve facilities for the force.
