The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that private Hajj scheme booking through the Hajj Portal will continue until the allocated quota is fully booked. The ministry said the process is being managed digitally.
In a statement, the ministry said the government’s policy to make the Hajj operation fully digital is showing positive results. The online system is intended to make registration and other related procedures easier for pilgrims.
According to the ministry, all seats allocated for the government Hajj scheme were booked within seven days. The response has been described as a significant development for the digital management of the Hajj operation.
The ministry said seats for the short Hajj packages, ranging from 20 to 25 days, were filled within the first 24 hours. The quick response indicates strong demand for shorter-duration packages among intending pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the remaining seats for the long Hajj package were expected to be completed by noon on Tuesday. The ministry reiterated that private Hajj scheme booking will remain available through the Hajj Portal until the relevant quota is filled.
The ministry said the completion of all government Hajj scheme seats within seven days represents progress in the booking process. It added that the collection of Hajj dues began during the night between August 18 and 19.
The latest update highlights the growing role of digital systems in Pakistan’s Hajj arrangements. Pilgrims seeking private Hajj packages can continue using the official Hajj Portal while seats remain available under the allocated quota.
