PM Shehbaz says India behind terrorism in Pakistan, alleging that New Delhi is providing resources to militant groups operating against the country. Addressing participants of the Balochistan National Workshop in Islamabad, the prime minister said terrorism had previously been eliminated but later resurfaced through what he described as an organized conspiracy.
The prime minister said the Baloch and Pashtun communities played a vital role in the creation of Pakistan and had consistently contributed to strengthening national unity. He praised the leadership of Balochistan for placing national interests above personal considerations and reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to the province’s development.

He said militant violence had largely been eliminated by 2018 but later re-emerged, alleging that India was involved in supporting such activities.
Referring to Afghanistan, Shehbaz urged the interim Afghan authorities to ensure that Afghan territory is not used for attacks against Pakistan. He said Pakistan expected stronger action against militant groups operating across the border to improve regional security and stability.
The prime minister highlighted several development initiatives in Balochistan, including the conversion of 27,000 tube wells to solar energy. He said the federal government contributed Rs50 billion to the Rs75 billion project and added that work on the Karachi-Chaman dual carriageway, estimated to cost Rs300 billion, is expected to be completed within two years.
Expressing grief over the deaths of Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem and a security official in the Mastung attack, Shehbaz paid tribute to the sacrifices of the people of Balochistan. He also praised the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for their role in protecting the country and maintaining peace.
