Bilawal Criticizes PML-N Over AJK Election Claims

Bilawal Bhutto AJK election rigging claims dominated his address in Muzaffarabad, where the PPP chairman accused opponents of trying to influence the electoral process. He said his party would not allow alleged manipulation in Azad Kashmir and would protect voters’ rights.

Addressing a Pakistan Peoples Party workers’ convention, Bilawal said the public response suggested victory for the party’s election symbol on August 2. He said the PPP had raised the Kashmir issue at the international level for three generations.

Without directly naming the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Bilawal criticized the party and alleged that some political groups had repeatedly come to power through unfair practices. He said such tactics would not succeed in Azad Kashmir.

The PPP chairman claimed that his party would accept defeat if it came through the people’s vote. However, he said the party would not accept what he described as a stolen election. He alleged irregularities at polling stations linked to PPP leader Chaudhry Yasin’s constituency.

Bilawal said he had evidence regarding alleged problems at 30 polling stations and demanded a re-poll if the Election Commission was not involved in any wrongdoing. He said the electoral process should ensure transparency and public confidence.

He also promised the people of Azad Kashmir that the PPP would work to recover what he called their “stolen seats”. Bilawal said his party wanted to secure ownership rights for Kashmir’s people through democratic means rather than through force.

The political statements come ahead of the Azad Kashmir elections, where major parties are competing for public support. Election-related allegations and calls for transparency have remained key issues during the campaign.
