The Sindh Education Department has announced revised Sindh school timings across the province, with the new schedule coming into effect from August 6. The department issued a circular directing government schools to follow the updated timings until further orders.
Under the new schedule, government schools operating on single and double shifts will follow different timings depending on the school level and shift. School heads and relevant officials have been instructed to ensure the revised schedule is implemented immediately.
For single-shift primary schools, the timings from August 6 to October 31 will be 8am to 2:30pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, these schools will operate from 8am to 1pm under the revised schedule.
From November 1 to March 31, single-shift primary schools will begin at 8:30am and continue until 3pm. The seasonal adjustment is intended to apply throughout the specified period unless the department issues further instructions.
The department has also announced revised Sindh school timings for double-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools. From August 6 to October 31, the first shift will run from 7:30am to 1:30pm, while the second shift will operate from 1pm to 6pm.
From November 1 to March 31, the first shift at double-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools will run from 8am to 1:45pm. The second shift will operate from 12:45pm to 5:45pm during the same period.
The circular also includes revised schedules for single-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools, along with first and second shifts at double-shift primary schools. The Sindh Education Department has directed all relevant authorities and school heads to ensure strict compliance with the new timings.
