Pakistan Stock Market Index Reclaims 180,000-Point Level

The Pakistan Stock Market regained the 180,000-point level on Wednesday after strong buying activity pushed the benchmark index higher during early trading.

Trading began on a positive note on the third business day of the week, with the market gaining more than 1,000 points in the opening phase. The benchmark KSE-100 Index reached an intraday high of 180,863 points, reflecting improved investor sentiment.

The upward momentum eased slightly as trading progressed, but the Pakistan Stock Market remained in positive territory until the close. The KSE-100 Index finished the session at 180,311 points, posting a gain of 464 points.

The latest recovery came after a sharp decline in the previous trading session. On Tuesday, the benchmark index had dropped 1,463 points and closed at 179,846 points, falling below the key 180,000-point psychological level.

Wednesday’s performance therefore marked a notable recovery for the Pakistan Stock Market, as investors returned to buying activity after the previous session’s heavy losses. The early surge also helped the benchmark move comfortably above the important threshold.

Market movements continued to be closely watched as the trading session progressed. Although the index surrendered some of its early gains, it maintained enough strength to end the day above 180,000 points.

The Pakistan Stock Market closed Wednesday at 180,311 points, up 464 points from the previous close. The rebound restored the benchmark’s position above the 180,000-point mark and highlighted continued volatility in local equities.
