Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Imran Khan gave his reaction to the Supreme Court’s decision concerning the PTI founder. He said the decision should have come much earlier.
Speaking to reporters at Parliament House, Fazlur Rehman said the Supreme Court had now issued a decision regarding Imran Khan. He stressed that the development should have happened earlier.
The JUI-F chief also commented on PTI’s ongoing protest plans. He said deciding whether to continue or end the protest was entirely the party’s own decision.
The Supreme Court ordered authorities to move Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital until the next hearing. The court also directed officials to establish a medical board for his treatment.
The court instructed authorities to transfer Imran Khan under tight security. It also ordered officials to ensure that law and order outside the hospital was not disrupted during his stay.
The Supreme Court’s order came during hearings concerning Imran Khan’s meetings with family members and access to medical treatment. The court also directed that his family be allowed to meet him once a week.
The Fazlur Rehman Imran Khan reaction came shortly after the court’s decision. He did not give a detailed assessment of the order, while leaving the decision on PTI’s protest to the party itself.
