Islamabad Call Center Raid

284 Foreign Nationals Arrested in Islamabad Call Center Crackdown

Authorities have arrested 284 foreign nationals during a major crackdown on alleged illegal activities at a call center in Islamabad’s Gulberg Greens area. The arrested individuals have reportedly had their visas canceled as authorities move forward with deportation proceedings.

According to officials, all foreign nationals arrested from the Gulberg Greens facility will be sent back to their respective countries within 15 days. Their names will also be placed on Pakistan’s blacklist and Foreigners Control List, restricting their future entry into the country.

The plaza where the arrests were made has been officially declared a sub-jail until further orders. A notification has been issued confirming the temporary status of the building. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will be responsible for managing security and administrative arrangements at the facility.

FIA Director General Dr. Usman said the investigation has uncovered highly concerning and disturbing details. According to the FIA chief, suspects allegedly created fake identities, including those of women, and used them to establish contact with Pakistani citizens.

The suspects allegedly contacted Pakistani citizens through different applications and presented investment opportunities to them. Investigators say the operation was allegedly used to defraud people and cause significant financial losses to Pakistani citizens.

The FIA says investigators have also traced the alleged local facilitators and handlers linked to the foreign suspects. Authorities are now examining their involvement and determining the extent of their role in the alleged activities.
