Iran, Oman FMs Discuss Talks, Hormuz Navigation

Iran Oman talks and maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz were discussed during a phone conversation between the foreign ministers of Iran and Oman on Friday night.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke with Omani Foreign Minister Seyyed Badr Albusaidi as the two sides reviewed recent regional developments and possible steps toward restarting diplomatic talks.

According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the ministers exchanged views on creating suitable conditions for the resumption of negotiations. The discussion focused on diplomatic efforts and regional issues.

The two foreign ministers also addressed maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important waterways for international shipping and energy transportation.

The conversation comes as regional developments continue to influence diplomatic relations and security discussions in the Gulf. Both sides discussed issues requiring attention and possible coordination.

Iran Oman talks have previously involved efforts to support dialogue and reduce tensions through diplomatic channels. Oman has frequently played a role in facilitating communication between Iran and other countries.

The latest call highlights continued diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Muscat. The two ministers’ discussion on talks and navigation indicates that regional diplomacy and maritime issues remain important areas of focus.
