US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States is close to achieving victory in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Speaking at an event in Las Vegas, Nevada, Trump stated that he did not initially want a war with Iran, describing it as a “beautiful country,” but said the conflict became necessary due to its nuclear program.
He emphasized that the war should end soon and predicted that it could conclude within the next two months.
Trump further claimed that the United States is on track to secure a decisive victory in Iran in the near future.
Highlighting US military capabilities, he stated that a recent attack involving 111 rockets targeting an American naval vessel was successfully thwarted, with all rockets intercepted.
He praised the US military as the best in the world, adding that it continues to be strengthened with advanced technology and improved capabilities.
Trump also acknowledged that the conflict has had an impact on the economy, but dismissed concerns about rising oil prices, noting that earlier predictions of oil reaching $300 per barrel have not materialized.
During his speech, he described Iran as an intelligent nation and its people as strong fighters, while reiterating confidence in US success in the conflict.
