Pakistan Azerbaijan direct flights have officially expanded as airline Airblue launched new nonstop operations between Lahore and Baku, marking a significant development in bilateral aviation and diplomatic ties.
The inaugural flight from Lahore to Baku received a ceremonial welcome upon arrival, including a traditional water cannon salute at the airport, symbolizing the importance of the new route.
At the arrival ceremony, Pakistan’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Qasim Mohiuddin, attended the event and cut a cake to celebrate the successful launch of the direct air connection between the two cities.
Officials described the Pakistan Azerbaijan direct flights initiative as an important milestone in strengthening economic, cultural, and people-to-people relations between the two friendly countries.
The Pakistani embassy in Baku confirmed the successful arrival of Airblue’s first direct flight and highlighted that this new route reflects growing cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
It was also noted that other airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), already operate direct flights, further enhancing travel connectivity between the two nations.
Experts believe that the expansion of Pakistan Azerbaijan direct flights will support tourism, business travel, and diplomatic engagement, contributing to closer regional cooperation.
