Rising gas prices in America are creating serious financial pressure for millions of households across the country. A recent survey shows that most Americans are now feeling the impact of increasing fuel costs on their daily budgets.
According to a joint NPR, PBS News, and Marist poll, nearly 81% of Americans said higher gasoline prices are placing significant pressure on household expenses. Many families reported difficulties managing transportation and essential living costs.
Only 19% of respondents said they had not been affected by the increase in fuel prices. Economic experts believe middle- and low-income families are facing the greatest challenges during this period of inflation.
The survey, conducted between April 27 and April 30, found that 63% of Americans blame President Trump for the rise in petroleum prices. Respondents linked government economic policies and international tensions to the ongoing increase.
Meanwhile, 37% of participants said Trump was less responsible for the crisis. They argued that global oil supply issues and tensions in the Middle East also played a major role in rising fuel costs.
Media reports stated that the average gasoline price in the United States reached $4.56 per gallon on Thursday. Before the Iran conflict began, the average price was around $2.98 per gallon.
