Asif Ali Zardari China visit concluded after the President of Pakistan completed a five-day official trip and departed from Sanya back to Pakistan. The visit focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in multiple strategic sectors.
During the Asif Ali Zardari China visit, the President was seen off at Sanya airport by senior Chinese officials, including representatives of the Communist Party of China, along with Pakistan’s ambassador to China and Chinese foreign ministry officials.
The Asif Ali Zardari China visit included detailed discussions on expanding cooperation in industrial development, agriculture, and the blue economy. These areas are considered key for Pakistan’s long-term economic growth.
A major focus of the Asif Ali Zardari China visit was the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase 2.0, particularly industrial expansion and maritime economic development between the two countries.
During the trip, Pakistan and China signed multiple memorandums of understanding covering water desalination, agricultural technology, machinery, vaccines, and medical technology cooperation.
The Asif Ali Zardari China visit also included participation in key events, including visits to historical sites and attendance at important naval commissioning ceremonies, reflecting growing defence cooperation.
Officials stated that the Asif Ali Zardari China visit further strengthened the 75-year-long diplomatic relationship between Pakistan and China, with both sides agreeing to expand collaboration in future projects.
