Balochistan train service suspended

Balochistan Train Service Suspended for Second Day Due to Railway Track Repairs

Balochistan train service suspended announcement has been extended for a second consecutive day as Pakistan Railways continues maintenance work on the railway track. The temporary suspension is aimed at ensuring passenger safety and restoring normal rail operations as soon as possible.

Pakistan Railways initially halted train operations from Balochistan on July 9 because of ongoing repair work. According to railway officials, maintenance activities have not yet been completed, forcing authorities to keep train services suspended on Friday, July 10, as well.

Among the affected services is the Jaffar Express, one of the country’s major long-distance trains. Officials confirmed that the Jaffar Express scheduled to depart from Quetta for Peshawar has been cancelled for the day due to the ongoing repair work.

Meanwhile, the Jaffar Express traveling from Peshawar to Quetta will operate only up to Jacobabad instead of completing its full journey. Railway authorities stated that this temporary adjustment has been made to avoid the section of track currently under maintenance.

Pakistan Railways has assured passengers that all those affected by the cancellation will receive a full refund of their ticket fares. Travelers have been advised to contact railway reservation offices or customer service centers to claim refunds and obtain updated travel information.

The railway department has emphasized that these temporary disruptions are necessary to improve track safety and ensure smoother train operations in the future. Officials are closely monitoring the progress of repair work and will announce the restoration of services once the maintenance is completed.
