Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has called for the full implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan, while expressing serious concern over the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
Dar made the remarks during a meeting of the OIC Committee of Six on Palestine in New York. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The deputy prime minister stressed the need for full and faithful implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803. He also appreciated mediation efforts by the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye.
Dar expressed serious concern over the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. He strongly condemned continued Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif.

He also raised concerns over settlement activity, settler violence and annexation-related measures in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Dar called for renewed and coordinated diplomatic action by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
The Ishaq Dar Gaza Peace Plan position also focused on reconstruction and governance in Gaza. Dar said these arrangements should remain Palestinian-led, with the Palestinian Authority playing a central role. He also called for accountability for violations of international and humanitarian law.
Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support for an independent, sovereign and contiguous State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. He also reaffirmed support for Palestine’s full membership of the United Nations.
