An anti-terrorism court has ordered Imran Khan to appear in the Judicial Complex attack case at the next hearing. The court allowed his appearance either in person or through video link. The court also postponed further proceedings until November 5.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case involving Imran Khan and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders. During the hearing, the court issued orders concerning several accused individuals. The proceedings focused on their continued legal status in the case.
The court declared Farrukh Habib, Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed and Shibli Faraz proclaimed offenders. It also sought details of properties belonging to the accused individuals. The court directed the relevant authorities to provide the requested information.
For the next hearing, the court specifically ordered authorities to produce Imran Khan before it. The former prime minister may appear personally or through a video link. The court included both options in its order for the upcoming proceedings.
The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Wasik Qayum. Warrants were also issued for PTI leader Hassan Niazi. Both developments came during the latest hearing of the Judicial Complex attack case.
The case involves Imran Khan and several PTI leaders over an alleged attack on the Judicial Complex. Police registered the case at Ramna Police Station. The proceedings against the named individuals remain before the anti-terrorism court.
The court has now fixed November 5 for the next hearing of the Judicial Complex attack case. Imran Khan will be required to appear through one of the methods approved by the court. The court will also continue proceedings involving the other accused individuals.
