Karachi Airport Health Department has announced that passengers travelling internationally will not be permitted to depart without a valid NADRA vaccination certificate from September 14.
The new requirement is aimed at ensuring that international travellers meet mandatory vaccination and health documentation requirements before departure.
According to the official notification, Umrah pilgrims have been specifically instructed to obtain their NADRA vaccination cards before travelling. Passengers planning to perform Umrah are advised to complete the vaccination process and secure the required certificate well ahead of their scheduled flight to avoid delays at the airport.
The notification further stated that the Federal Government Civil Dispensary is the designated centre for vaccination of international passengers. Travellers who need vaccination for international travel should therefore visit the specified facility and complete the required documentation before reaching the airport.
Airlines have also been directed to ensure that Umrah passengers possess and present valid vaccination certificates. Airline staff will be responsible for checking the required vaccination documentation before passengers proceed with their international travel arrangements.
Passengers intending to receive vaccination services at Karachi Airport have been advised to arrive at least six hours before their scheduled flight. This additional time will allow travellers to complete the vaccination process and other required formalities without affecting their departure schedule.
The Airport Health Department has also indicated that vaccination and online registration facilities will be available at the international departure area. Travellers are advised to make adequate preparations and verify their documentation before arriving at the airport.
The new Karachi Airport vaccination certificate requirement is particularly important for Umrah pilgrims and other international travellers departing from Karachi.
