According to a report by Axios, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia are actively facilitating communication between both sides in an effort to prevent further escalation and encourage a return to negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.
The report said mediating countries have accelerated diplomatic contacts aimed at restoring technical-level discussions between the United States and Iran. Despite heightened tensions, US President Donald Trump is said to favor a diplomatic resolution to the dispute. According to the report, the US administration continues to support the resumption of technical negotiations, believing that sustained engagement offers the best opportunity to resolve differences surrounding Iran’s nuclear activities.
Regional observers note that Pakistan and Qatar have played increasingly important roles in facilitating communication during previous crises. Their diplomatic outreach reflects broader efforts by Middle Eastern partners to promote regional stability while preventing the current dispute from escalating into a wider confrontation.
