Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the Shehbaz Sharif Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued support for the kingdom’s security and sovereignty.
The Houthi group Ansar Allah carried out attacks on the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Najran and Jazan. The attacks targeted civilian and economic facilities, while 73 people were reportedly injured.
The injured included women and children, according to the details shared about the attacks. The incidents have raised concerns over the impact of renewed violence on civilians and important facilities in the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said such attacks pose a serious threat to innocent human lives. He also warned that attacks of this nature can undermine peace and security across the region.
Shehbaz Sharif Houthi attacks condemnation came with a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia. The prime minister said Pakistan stands firmly with the kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
Shehbaz Sharif also expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia’s leadership and people. He conveyed support for King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi people during the latest escalation.
The prime minister prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attacks. His statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s position of supporting Saudi Arabia’s security while calling attention to the wider risks posed by attacks on civilian and economic targets.
