A Mustung garden blast in the Khadkocha area of Balochistan’s Mustung district killed six people and injured three others on Friday, according to police.
Police said the victims and injured people were taken to Mustung Hospital following the explosion. All those affected were reportedly labourers working in the gardens in the area.
The powerful blast was heard in several surrounding areas, causing concern among local residents. Authorities immediately moved to secure the location and assess the situation.
Police and law enforcement personnel cordoned off the area after the Mustung garden blast. A bomb disposal team was also called to the site to examine the scene.
Officials said the nature and cause of the explosion had not yet been determined. Investigators were working to establish what caused the blast and whether any explosive device was involved.
In a separate incident in Khadkocha, police said two people were killed after unidentified individuals opened fire in the area. The attackers fled after the shooting, while the bodies were shifted to a hospital.
