Federal Budget 2026-27 Prepared with Public Welfare as Top Priority, Says PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Federal Budget 2026-27 has been prepared with great dedication, hard work, and sincerity. Ahead of the budget presentation, he emphasized that the welfare of the people remains the government’s foremost priority.

In a message shared on social media platform X, the prime minister stated that the budget was formulated after extensive efforts and careful consideration of national interests. He expressed confidence that the financial plan would contribute to the country’s economic progress.

According to the premier, the Federal Budget 2026-27 is designed to support public welfare while maintaining economic stability. The government aims to introduce measures that encourage growth, investment, and opportunities for citizens across the country.

The federal government is set to present the new budget in the National Assembly today. The proposed budget is expected to have a total outlay of approximately Rs17.5 trillion, making it one of the country’s most significant financial plans in recent years.
